The dandelion is in fact perfect for losing weight. It contains substances that can quickly stimulate the metabolism and is especially effective in the fight against fat. It helps the body process it faster and breaks down fats that are already deposited in the tissue. That’s why dietitians praise it as the spring queen of the slim figure.
How will it help you lose weight?
The dandelion itself has a very low, almost negligible calorie value, but on the other hand it is literally packed with healing substances and vitamins. It quickly improves digestion and particularly affects the absorption of fats. It reduces water retained in the body, cleanses, improves bowel movements and the proper function of the intestines, which is essential for weight loss.
Don’t look for its slimming power in the flower heads

Recipe for an excellent dandelion root salad
we need:
- 2 tomatoes
- 30 dandelion leaves
- 3 dandelion roots
- spring onion
- 1/2 cucumber
- 2 leaves of Chinese cabbage
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
Method:
Clean the root similarly to a carrot or other root vegetable. Use a peeler to remove the outer skin and wash – cut into rounds. Add torn lettuce, dandelion leaves, sliced cucumber and tomatoes. Mix, drizzle with oil and garnish with spring onion. A great side dish and at the same time a slimming salad.
