In the Lidl retail chain there is again a scandal concerning adulterated goods. The Czech Agricultural and Food Inspection Authority found further deficiencies concerning a meat product that Lidl offers its customers.

The inspection authority asked the retailer of the group to withdraw it from the store and initiate managerial procedures to enforce a fine.
Inspections are now also taking place of other meat products on Lidl’s shelves. 

Defective goods

This is a product made from meat.
Specifically, it concerns Pikok Kabanosy with a weight of 175 g. The minimum durability is until 12.2.2019. On the packaging of this product it is stated that it contains 150 grams of pork and 8 grams of beef. 
However, the information on the packaging was misleading. 
The stated amount of meat was not found in this product in any of the data. 

“The information on the packaging deceived buyers about the actual composition of the product.”
