A healthy diet and lifestyle are the two most important principles for maintaining a healthy liver.
However, today we live fast lives that directly lead us into unhealthy bad habits such as consuming fast food, alcohol, or other harmful substances.
That then leaves a large amount of toxins in our bodies.
Why it is necessary to regularly cleanse the liver
To maintain overall health, it is essential to regularly take care of your liver, which is the body’s main detoxification organ.
Only when the liver performs its functions properly can the body carry out its other vital functions without problems, such as metabolism or hormone production.
For this reason, it is necessary to detoxify it at least once in a while.
Today we will reveal a recipe for a drink that can very effectively not only rid your liver of accumulated impurities but also support its regeneration.
In the future it will thus be able to fully carry out all its functions again.
The reason why it is necessary to detoxify the liver even if you do not feel any symptoms is that liver diseases are among the so-called silent illnesses.
In other words, the liver usually does not cause pain. Pain only begins when it may already be too late.
Cleansing the liver is a very simple process that you can carry out with the following natural drink.
Recipe for cleansing the liver
You will need the following ingredients:
- juice of 2 lemons
- juice of 2 oranges
- a handful of mint leaves
- 1 liter of clean still (non-carbonated) water
- 4 to 5 teaspoons of honey (preferably organic)
Preparation
1. Pour the water into a pot and bring to a boil. Then add the mint leaves and boil them for 5 minutes.
2. Then turn off the heat and let the decoction cool.
3. Finally add the lemon juice, orange juice, and honey. Stir everything well so the honey dissolves.
4. Pour the drink into a glass bottle and keep it in the refrigerator.
Usage
For a regular liver cleanse, it is sufficient to drink just 1 glass of this drink. For a thorough cleanse, drink the entire liter over the course of the day.
In more severe conditions, repeat the treatment 3 to 4 times within one week.
