There is nothing better than a perfect, clean family unit. To achieve this, we must in any case go through an extensive cleaning process. This activity is of course not the most popular way to invest your free time and energy. However, many clever housewives have come up with ingenious tricks that save money and time when cleaning. 

Household cleaning

We bring you 15 household cleaning tricks. Thanks to these tricks you will save time and money. You will see that many things can be cleaned again so that they are like new. 

Bathroom faucets

Many bathroom faucets tarnish over time and no longer have the sparkle they did at the beginning. Paper towels soaked in vinegar will help with that.
Wrap the faucet with these towels for about 40 minutes and then rinse.

Mirror

Make a solution in a 1:1 ratio of water and vinegar. If the smell of vinegar bothers you, add a few drops of scented oil. Then clean the mirror with this mixture. 

Handles

If the handles are worn, greasy and dingy, use a cleaning agent and a toothbrush, which will clean the handles perfectly.

Rust

To remove stains and rust, cut a lemon in half and place it in salt. Then rub the rust stains with it and the rust will disappear immediately.

Bathtub

If you want a dazzlingly white tub, use this trick.
Take an old towel and soak it in bleach. Then place the towel in the tub. Leave it to act overnight. Ideally open a window so the fumes are not trapped inside the apartment. In the morning wash the tub with water and you will see the change. 

Ceiling and walls

Do your walls and ceilings seem dingy? Clean them with a clean mop and you will see how they brighten up. 

Shower

If you are bothered by a dingy shower enclosure with limescale marks, use vinegar. Spray vinegar on the surface and let it act for about 15 minutes. Then rinse. 

Odor when vacuuming

Drop a few drops of essential oil into the vacuum bag and add a little baking soda.

Granite

A stone countertop can be cleaned with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. You will need 2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of alcohol and add 5 to 6 drops of cleaning agent.

Sink

Wet the entire sink and sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda. Saturate a sponge with hydrogen peroxide and clean the sink. Wait a few minutes and rinse. 

Oven

Make a mixture of 1 cup of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of cleaning agent and water. Make the mixture into a paste and then apply it to the oven. Let it act approx. 15 minutes and then wipe it off. 

Tiles

To make tiles like new again, simply make a paste from baking soda and water, and use it to clean the tiles. 

Gas stovetop

In a bowl mix baking soda, baking powder and hydrogen peroxide. Apply the mixture around the burners and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then wipe everything thoroughly.

Microwave

Put a bowl of water in the microwave and squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into it, then turn the microwave on. At this point simply take a paper towel and wipe the surface with a single wipe.

Wooden cutting board

Sprinkle salt on a wooden cutting board and rub the surface with half a lemon.
