Karin Marques works as a teacher and posted the photograph of the traditional punishment on Twitter.
The photo was accompanied by
“This punishment is not from 1957, but from April 2018. UP was created precisely so that these crimes against children would no longer exist,”.
Perhaps precisely this comment earned disagreement from many. Although until now the administrators of the teachers’ chamber profile thought that punishments of this type were not used, certain users made it clear that such sanctions are entirely acceptable.
“We were also made to copy as punishment, the homeroom teacher in 6th grade slapped us and the homeroom teacher in 8th showered us in the sink. To this day we remember them fondly because we know they were fair and we deserved it. They were personalities and had our respect. You cannot have it, ” said one of the commenters on Twitter.

“Originally we thought that these punishments are no longer given, but after publishing the photograph we found out that it is not unusual. According to us, such teacher failures occur out of the helplessness of the particular teacher in a situation from which they see no other way out, ” expressed the chairwoman of the Teachers’ Platform Petra Mazancová to idnes.cz
