Today we present a simple recipe that contains only three natural ingredients. Its preparation is quick and easy, but most importantly – it will help you fall asleep quickly and peacefully, like a baby.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1/8 teaspoon of sea or Himalayan salt
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil

These ingredients have a very favorable effect on sleep, as they can relax your mind and body. Their combination additionally helps reduce sharp spikes of the hormone cortisol, which is often responsible for the inability to fall asleep or for waking up during the night.

Preparation and use:

For best results, consume this mixture just before bedtime. You have two options for how to take it:

Option 1: Mix the coconut oil with the honey, then add the salt. Mix everything well and eat it. Finally drink a glass of water, but not too much so you don’t have to go to the bathroom during the night.

Option 2: You can eat the coconut oil and honey separately, and then dissolve the salt in a glass of water and drink it.

If you wake up during the night and cannot fall back asleep, simply take this “remedy” again and within half an hour you should be asleep again.

Salt

Sea or Himalayan salt are rich in minerals and electrolytes that optimize the body’s metabolism. Salt also reduces levels of stress hormones and ensures proper energy production, which helps the body relax and sleep peacefully.
