Did your grandmother ever give you sugar with Alpa? If you think Alpa is intended only for massaging a sore body, you are mistaken. When we were little, our grandmothers used it for various internal pains, especially when we had a stomachache, and not only for adults but also for small children, in combination with sugar.
For a sore stomach
- 1 sugar cube
- 1 teaspoon of Alpa
Place the sugar cube on a soup spoon and pour Alpa over it. Then put the sugar cube into your mouth, chew well and swallow. This method of treating stomach pain, mainly for excessive flatulence, has been practiced for many years. From our own experience we can confirm that it works very quickly and relief comes immediately.
For corns, calluses and cracked heels
- 10 Aspirin tablets
- 250 ml of Alpa
- glass container
If you are troubled by corns, calluses or cracked heels, it is worth trying. We crush 10 Aspirin tablets, pour them into a sealable glass container and fill with 250 ml of Alpa. Let the mixture sit for two days at room temperature and shake it every day so that the aspirin dissolves well. Every evening apply this mixture to the heels using a moistened cotton pad – leave the pad on the heel. Then wrap the heel in cling film and put a sock over it. Leave on overnight. In the morning rinse the feet, dry well with a clean towel and apply cream.

Recipe against back and joint pain
- 10 chestnuts
- a bottle of Alpa
Don’t forget this recipe in the autumn when it’s chestnut season. Cover 10 chestnuts with a medium bottle of Alpa. Let steep for 3 weeks in a cool, dark place and then use to rub on painful areas.
Add it to your bath
Many people use Alpa for swollen feet problems. Just fill a warm bathtub and pour a little Alpa into the water. Lie in this bath for at least 20 minutes and the swelling should subside or at least be reduced.
