The human organism is a complex structure in which everything is connected in a certain way. If you are suddenly struck by a severe headache, even the timing of that pain or a particular spot on the head where it appears may be linked to a serious disease. If you are attentive and seek a doctor in time, you can only benefit your health.
Morning awakening with a headache
If you are among those people who are woken in the morning by a painful head, you should take notice, because this is definitely not normal. There can be several causes and among the most serious may be
- a problem with blood pressure
- sleep apnea, in which dangerous interruptions of breathing occur, and
- a brain tumor.
Do not underestimate morning headaches and rather see a doctor who will perform the necessary examinations.
Pain in the area around the eye
In some people there occasionally occurs an intense pain usually concentrated on one eye and the area around it and behind it. If this problem appears in you as well, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible, who should refer you to a specialist, a neurologist. There can be multiple causes of this pain, for example a disorder of the cardiovascular system.
Headache associated with other unpleasant symptoms
If not only your head hurts, but you are also troubled by, for example, a sore throat, nausea and visual disturbances, in your case these may be symptoms of a hormonal disorder, depression, neurosis or a past head injury.
Pain in the front part of the head and „behind the eyes“
The reason for pain in this area of the head may be, for example, hormonal changes or poisoning by some substances. It is also a symptom of the initial stage of the flu or a cold. If the pain intensifies and, for example, nausea occurs, medical help should be sought, because this may mean that bleeding is taking place in the body, which needs to be located and stopped as soon as possible.
A feeling of pressure at the top of the head and a sensation of a heavy head
If these sensations occur, there is no need to fear that it is something serious. The cause may be, for example, oxygen deficiency, stress or excessive fatigue. In any case, sufficient rest and quality sleep should help.
