Surely you’ve already figured out that old things don’t always have to be replaced with new ones and thrown in the trash, but that they can still be put to use. And one of the not few items is the toothbrush, which today’s article will be about.
A toothbrush is something that surely everyone has at home. From time to time it’s necessary to replace the toothbrush with a new one, because we want only the best for our teeth. But we don’t have to throw it away right into the bin.

Here are a few tips on how to use an old toothbrush for things other than brushing your teeth:

Tips for the household

Places that are hard to reach? A toothbrush can handle that. Need to clean creases or seams on shoes or clothing? Take an old toothbrush, dip it into some cleaning solution and the bristles of the brush will find their way to the dirt on their own.

Mold? No problem!

One of the many ways to get rid of mold is by using a toothbrush. Take it, remove the handle from the head with a sharp knife and attach the head with the bristles to a drill. Thanks to the drill’s rotary motion you can easily reach hard-to-access places and thus remove the mold very simply.

Hairstyling helper

Apply hair gel or setting lotion to the toothbrush head and you can comb hair with the bristles. You can use this especially if you have hair that won’t hold its shape and use the toothbrush to nicely style the hair.

Crochet

Crocheting will be easier from now on. Take the handle of an old toothbrush, heat the plastic over a flame and insert a hook into it. Crocheting will now be a lot easier.

More tips with the toothbrush:

You can easily dye hair with a toothbrush. The hair gets better between the bristles and thus gets colored.
However, if you want to use a toothbrush for any purposes, we recommend disinfecting the toothbrush.
