Many of us sometimes suffer from headaches, joint and muscle pain. Then you have to grit your teeth, visit the doctor and spend money on painkillers. Of course, that’s only if you don’t know how to relieve pain without using medication.
The problem with taking medication is that it is often addictive and does not have the best effect on the body.
You should try something natural, because it is better absorbed and does not cause side effects.
How to relieve pain?
First you must determine what kind of pain is bothering you. If it concerns the musculoskeletal system, bruises or swelling, we know the right remedy for that.
Joints require special attention. Their treatment with salt has been used for a long time and, together with oil, contributes to better application and absorption. It is equally effective in treating the spine, because salt has a warming property and relaxes stiff muscles. This mixture can do more than just heal joint or spine pain!
Salt draws out moisture perfectly, and that is why its use is necessary for severe swelling and bruises. Its principle is similar to that of iodine, which penetrates the skin and dries it out. Salt improves blood circulation, which is why it is also effective in treating headaches and removing toxins from the body.
All you will need is salt and oil. It can be a vegetable oil or, more usefully, olive oil.
Recipe:
- Mix 20 tbsp of unrefined sunflower oil or olive oil with 10 tbsp of quality salt.
- Place the mixture in a sealable container.
- Close the container and let it stand for 2 days at room temperature.
- Your homemade remedy is ready to use!
Application:
The procedure should be performed in the morning. Check the inflamed areas to ensure you do not have any small wounds on them – salt should not get on those.
Apply the mixture so that you have only a thin layer on the skin. Massage the area, but be careful not to press too hard.
The result will depend on the length of the massage. You can start with 3 minutes and gradually increase the time to 15-20 minutes.
After finishing, do not wash off the salt! Just dry the area with a towel.
If you suffer from long-term pain, you will see results within one week: unpleasant sensations will subside and with continued treatment the pain will disappear completely. Where pharmacy medicines don’t work, it’s worth trying tried-and-true methods!
To maintain healthy joints, don’t forget to regularly strengthen the musculoskeletal system. For example, gelatin is no less useful than a short warm-up.
