A frying pan is probably present in every household. You can quickly and easily prepare tasty dishes on it. Unfortunately, with frequent use they wear out quickly and after some time it becomes difficult to remove greasy deposits. Burnt-on grease then sticks to other dishes being prepared and, especially when we have guests, it’s not pleasant.
Simple recipe
If you want to get rid of burnt-on grease on a pan, try this proven recipe. In a few minutes the pan will look like new again without you having to scrub it hard and risk unpleasant surface scratching. The pan will look like new again. You will need:
- Baking powder or baking soda
- 9% vinegar
Place the pan on the table or on the kitchen counter, sprinkle baking powder or baking soda over the entire surface and gently rub it with a damp sponge so the powder really gets everywhere. Then pour a little vinegar into the pan. The acidic vinegar will react with the alkaline substance with fizzing, which will loosen the dirt from the pan. Let it sit for a few minutes.
Cola helps too
Then wipe the pan with a sponge. You’ll see how the grease disappears and the dirt comes off easily. Rinse the pan under running water. If you are not completely satisfied with the result, repeat the whole procedure once more. If you don’t have baking soda on hand, fill the pan with hot water and drop in an effervescent tablet. Let it work for a while and then wash off the softened grime with a sponge.
The pan can also be cleaned with cola. Although it’s not the best drink to drink, it will help us brilliantly with cleaning. Try pouring it into the dirty pan and wait an hour. Then pour the liquid out of the pan and wipe away the dirt with a damp sponge. You’ll be surprised how easily it comes off. In the end you can also rub the pan with ketchup. While it doesn’t remove grease on its own, it can polish the pan. Just let it sit for a while and then wipe it off with a paper towel.
