High blood pressure is considered to be any value exceeding 140/90 mmHg.
Of course, there are differences mainly due to age, where in older people this value may not yet be a problem.
You can lower high blood pressure with medication, but also naturally.
Medications often have undesirable side effects. Therefore, if they can be avoided, you should do so.
Symptoms and risks of high blood pressure
The problem with high blood pressure is that it begins without obvious symptoms.
Then, when it does have symptoms, the negative health condition is usually quite advanced. Therefore it’s better to measure your blood pressure preventively.
The most common symptoms of high blood pressure include severe headaches, fatigue, vision problems, chest pain, breathing difficulties, irregular heartbeat, facial flushing, or even blood in the urine.
High blood pressure increases the risk of developing other health problems, such as:
- leg cramps
- insomnia
- nausea and dizziness
- arrhythmias
- cardiac and cerebrovascular events (heart attack and stroke)
Natural treatment of high blood pressure
If you do not want to take medications that can have serious side effects, we would like to offer you several natural options.
They are similarly fast-acting as drugs, but without side effects.
Method No.1 – Apple cider vinegar and baking soda
Dilute 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it immediately. Drink it twice a day.
Apple cider vinegar has a high content of calcium, potassium, magnesium and other substances that protect the arterial walls.
Baking soda helps regulate blood pressure and maintain the body’s proper pH. In this mixture, the baking soda will also neutralize the acidity of the vinegar.
Method No.2 – Bananas
Bananas are extremely rich in potassium, which regulates the level of sodium responsible for high blood pressure. It is a substituting element that will push sodium out of the cells, leading to normalization of blood pressure.
It is recommended to consume approximately 2 bananas a day to maintain optimal health.
Method No.3 – Lemon juice

Squeeze the juice from a lemon into a glass, dilute with water and drink it on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning before meals.
Lemons hydrate the body, relax blood vessels and protect their walls. They also provide the body with potassium and other vitamins that act to reduce sodium in the cells.
Method No.4 – Garlic
Garlic is clearly one of the best and healthiest foods in the world.
It effectively regulates both cholesterol and blood pressure. It owes this to the active substance allicin, which stimulates the production of nitric oxide that dilates blood vessels.
It is best to consume garlic raw.
First crush it and let it stand in the air for about 5 minutes to activate the allicin. Then, to partly suppress its sharp taste, mix it with honey and spread it on buttered bread.
After eating it, wash it down with a little water so the garlic does not remain stuck to the walls of the esophagus. It could otherwise irritate them.
Eat such a slice of bread every morning. You will certainly smell of garlic, but your blood pressure will drop very quickly.
Do this for at least a week, or as needed, until your blood pressure is permanently lowered.
Conclusion
In addition to the methods mentioned, it is also appropriate to follow a few principles to keep your blood pressure under control.
Eat healthily, exercise, avoid alcohol and cigarettes, limit caffeine and reduce your salt intake.
