Chicken eggs are a very popular dish. They are, incidentally, often referred to as a superfood. Besides high protein values, they also contain countless amounts of vitamins and minerals such as:
- Vitamins soluble in fats – that is A, D, E, K
- Vitamin B and C
- Trace elements – selenium, zinc or potassium
Eggs are also popular as a perfect building block of all meal plans. They suit both a bulking diet and a reduction diet. They are simple to prepare. If we are talking about the most common method of preparing eggs, namely boiling hard, it is possible to speed up this boiling process. Let’s start with a standard boil
We boil the eggs for 10 minutes to reach the „hard“ stage, and for the individual stages such as: poached egg (3 minutes), soft-boiled egg (5 minutes) and slightly runny egg (7 minutes). After cooking we place the egg into a pot with cold water.
Then we take the egg out and put it into a small glass with water. It is very important that there is about 1 centimeter of water in the glass together with the egg. Given the size of the egg, a small glass of 2 dcl capacity is sufficient.
Now the most important part! Cover the top of the glass with your palm and shake it thoroughly for 3–5 seconds. Then remove the egg, already peeled. Often you may end up damaging the egg. Therefore it is certainly advisable at first to try this method with different intensities of force.
There are countless similar tricks
Another great trick for faster peeling of the shell from an egg is, for example, adding a teaspoon of baking soda to the pot with boiling water. The soda reduces the shell’s adhesion to the egg itself, which can then be peeled literally with ease.
Another reliable method is rolling the egg, shell and all, on a hard board immediately after cooking. With the force of your palm the shell will be slightly disrupted. Then place the egg with the cracked shell into a cold glass of water. The shell will nicely and easily slide off almost by itself.
