Dental plaque is a sticky, colorless cluster of bacteria that adheres to the teeth and along the gum margins. Over time it hardens and becomes tartar.
It is one of the main causes of tooth decay, gum inflammation, and other dental problems.
Fortunately, there is one simple but effective natural remedy that will help you get rid of tartar and plaque.
And moreover without having to visit your dentist and pay for expensive procedures such as professional dental cleaning.
Of course, you also need to follow proper oral hygiene principles, which prevent the accumulation of bacteria in the mouth. This is the best way to keep your teeth and gums healthy in the long term.
Ingredients
To remove tartar and prevent gum disease you will only need these two things:
250 ml of water
40 grams of walnut shells
instructions
1. First, simmer the walnut shells in boiling water for about 20 minutes. Cook over low heat with the pot lid on so that too much water does not evaporate during that time.
2. Let the water cool and then remove the shells from it, or strain it.
3. Pour about 0.5 dcl of the decoction into a small glass.
4. Then dip your toothbrush into the decoction and brush your teeth with it for 10 minutes.
5. At the end, brush your teeth once more in the usual way using toothpaste.
6. Repeat the procedure 3 times a day.
How it works
Walnut shells have a strong antibacterial effect, thereby suppressing the growth and multiplication of bacteria in the mouth.
In addition, they contain substances that have the ability to remove tartar deposits from the teeth.
This treatment is also recommended for people with bleeding gums, because the decoction of walnut shells has strong anti-inflammatory effects.
