The Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic in China has already passed, said the spokesperson of China’s National Health Commission, Mi Fen. In the USA, however, it is allegedly „going to get worse“.
„At present, with the exception of Wuhan, no new cases were registered in any city of Hubei province within a single day. Outside Hubei province seven new cases were detected, six of which were imported,“ he said at the briefing.
There are still fewer new patients, the epidemic is proceeding at a relatively low level.
„It is necessary to place treatment and the protection of the sick first, not to lose focus and not to become complacent,“ he emphasized.
WHO (World Health Organization) has declared the spread of the coronavirus a pandemic. The total number of infected people has reached 125 thousand in 114 countries worldwide. In total, 4,615 people have died. The most dangerous situations are now developing in Italy, Iran, South Korea, France, Spain and Germany.

The situation around the coronavirus in the U.S. will worsen significantly, Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, said on Wednesday.
„I think we will see more cases and the situation will get worse. How much? That depends on how we react, but as a result it will be worse, worse and worse,“ he said at hearings of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
The expert warned that the U.S. will face a „very serious problem“ and mentioned the necessity of much broader testing and control of potential spread of the infection among the population.
„Over the coming month or months we must rely on general public health measures to be able to contain the epidemic,“ Fauci said, stressing that a vaccine cannot be available in the next few months; at best it will take a year or a year and a half.
