This recipe is tried and true and excellent. I found the inspiration on YouTube, but the recipe and its modification are my own.
We need:
- 4 oranges
- 1 lemon
- 3.5 dkg citric acid
- 1/2 kg sugar (in the original recipe there was 1 liter of sugar, but it seemed very sweet to me)
- water
Optional:
Method:
- The juice can be made with the fruit including the peel or without the peel; you can decide for yourself, or depending on whether your fruit is organic or not.
- I used organic fruit, so I cut it with the peel, but I still scrubbed the fruit well with a scouring pad.
- I peeled the carrot. Cut the fruit and carrot into cubes, put them in a pot, add 1.5 l of water, citric acid and leave to stand for 48 hours.
- After two days, boil for about 20 minutes so they break down as much as possible.
- Meanwhile, boil 8 l of water with 1/2 kg of sugar.

6. Puree the cooked oranges with lemon and carrot and pour into the boiled water. After cooling, strain to remove excess pulp from the citrus and pour into clean bottles.

7. Now I added the carrot juice to the finished juice; I had set aside two carrots at home. It gave a lovely color. 🙂
You will get 9.5 l of great juice.
You can change the fruit according to taste and what you have at home. The version with tangerines is also excellent.
Enjoy! 🙂
