Ingredients and method of preparing the home remedy for joint pain
For this simple remedy you will need:
- potato – 1 piece
- red onion – 1 piece
- flaxseed – 1 teaspoon
The remedy is then prepared as follows:
- Pour water into a small pot and add the flaxseed.
- Boil for approximately 10 minutes, then let cool.
- Wash the potato (do not peel!) and grate it on a fine grater.
- Peel the onion and chop it into small cubes.
- After the cooked flaxseed has cooled, add the onion and potatoes.
- Mix everything thoroughly and then strain so that excess water is released from the mixture.
How the prepared mixture is used
The prepared remedy is applied externally – always to the skin in the affected area. If you suffer from limb pain (in the fingers or on the soles), the mixture is easiest to place into a sock or glove that you then put on. If it concerns problems of other parts of the body, the remedy is applied to a piece of gauze, which after placing on the affected area is secured with a bandage. The preparation is best applied in the evening and left on overnight. In the morning simply wash the area with soap and water, or optionally apply a cream or olive oil – if redness appears. This is mostly caused by substances contained in the onion that can irritate the skin. Use the preparation as needed, i.e., in case joint pain or rheumatic or arthritic problems appear.
