Surely every grower has at some point experienced the situation of having raised beautiful pepper seedlings from seeds. After three frosts they were planted outdoors into a garden bed or large pots, cared for as best as possible, and the harvest turned out to be only a few peppers that were not tender and juicy. If this situation has ever troubled you, you may have resigned yourself to the fact that each year simply favors a different kind of vegetable or fruit. Some things don’t grow every year while others bear well. But it doesn’t have to be that way. If you have ever found yourself in this unpleasant situation, don’t worry. Based on this article you will be able to secure a high yield of sweet, tender, and juicy peppers even in a year that peppers „aren’t favored“.

A tincture made from millet will help you

Yes, you read that right: a tincture obtained from ordinary millet will help you prevent these unpleasant problems with peppers. It will ensure a large crop of the best peppers you’ve ever eaten. Millet supports the growth and flowering of peppers. And on that basis it can increase their yield. All you need is a millet tincture that you use to water the plants. It is generally recommended to mix 5 liters of the tincture with 5 liters of water, and then you can water the peppers.

The most ordinary millet you can find in the store will do. Let a whole handful of millet with stems steep in warm water. If you steep it in cold water you will not extract all the necessary substances from the millet. Let the millet steep for a full day — really 24 hours — and then strain the resulting infusion. Then simply mix 5 liters of this tincture with 5 liters of plain water and you can start watering. You should pour 0.5 liters of this prepared solution to each pepper plant. With this information you can prepare as much tincture as you need, or, conversely, make more tincture so some remains in reserve. It’s up to you.
