When to feed seedlings? Experienced farmers do not recommend “overfeeding” tomato and pepper seedlings. An excessive amount of nutrients causes seedlings to become damaged. However, if you choose the right nourishment, seedlings will be stronger, grow faster and will do well on your windowsill, and later in the garden. You add nutrients, apply once every 2 weeks, at most once a week. We present to you the best feed for pepper and tomato seedlings.

Nutrition is especially necessary for seedlings, which are smaller and are not doing as well as the others.

The best feed for tomato and pepper seedlings

You can excellently feed tomato and pepper seedlings with homemade remedies. It’s enough to collect the shells from 2–3 eggs, wash them, dry them, wrap them in a thin cloth and crush them with a rolling pin. Pour the powder into a 3-liter bottle with water and let the container stand for 3 days, but shake the contents regularly. The liquid is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3. The liquid is enriched with magnesium, iron, phosphorus, calcium and potassium.

Water only 3 times

Proper application of nutrients ensures a harvest of large juicy vegetables. Therefore every owner should know how to feed tomato seedlings so that you first enjoy strong plants and later a rich bounty of fruit. Dried yeast will come in very handy in this process. The yeast is diluted with warm water at a rate of 10 g per 10 liters. We water the seedlings with this mixture three times during their entire growth period . The planting will be able to grow faster and in the future provide dense, meaty tomatoes.

An excellent fertilizer for tomato and pepper seedlings is obtained from nettle. You can use it for watering, or you can spray the leaves of the seedlings. Take a lot of nettle and pour 10 liters of water over it. The nettle infusion should rest for several days. Then dilute with water to a light yellow shade and use for watering the seedlings.

If your family loves bananas, ask them not to throw away the peels. Grind the dried peels and pour 3 liters of warm water over them. Let the bowl stand for several days at room temperature. Strain the liquid and dilute it with clean water in a 1:1 ratio.

Fertilizing with onion peels. The useful properties of onion for young plants are enriching the soil with trace elements and a disinfecting effect. With onion peels you can fertilize any varieties of peppers, tomatoes, cabbage and cucumbers.

How to cook a healthy solution: Pour two jars of onion peels with 5 liters of water; place on the heat and bring to a boil. Strain the cooked solution, let it cool and use it to water the seedlings. You can use the peels as mulch in the garden.
