According to statistics, the divorce rate in our society rises every year. Almost at rocket speed.In the days of our grandmothers’ and grandfathers’ youth, they say so many marriages did not end in divorce. Infidelity, however, has always accompanied human bonds. They just did not talk about it. The remark by Mr. Plzák about „covering up“ applied in all times, not only in the 21st century.
Why men cheat
One would be left speechless over why some men endlessly cheat on their wives, yet at the same time refuse to forgive them. Even experts do not agree on a specific reason and discuss many possibilities. Husbands who cheat allegedly still like to return home.
For most of them, after all, the following await:
- Warm home-cooked food
- A tidy home
- Children who can’t wait for their dad
- A person who knows them best of all
By that last point we, of course, mean the wife
Many women know about their partners’ infidelity, or at least suspect it. Often, however, they are afraid that confronting the unfaithful person would complicate the situation further. No good mother wants to tarnish the head of the family in front of her own children.
Preventing infidelity
If you tell yourself that something like that could never happen in your life, you are mistaken. You cannot see into another person’s head. There are several ways to regularly strengthen the relationship between partners, which will significantly reduce the risk of infidelity. For example, shared hobbies. When was the last time you did something with your wife? You can try sports, cooking together, shopping, going on various trips. Or just have a quiet evening chat after you put the children to bed. Ask the other how their day was, and listen to them.
When it comes out
The most important thing is not to fall into panic and gloom. Keep calm. Remember unforgettable experiences and beautiful places you visited during your life together. You surely share some lovely secrets that no one can take away from you anymore. A pleasant nostalgia is already coming, isn’t it? But of course it’s up to you whether you want to save at all costs a relationship that already bears a scar. One beautiful Czech proverb says that you do not step into the same river twice.
