For many people, the decorations of their homes are houseplants, which brighten the space and are also an excellent air purifier. In some cases, however, they can cause a great tragedy instead of joy!
You need to be very careful if you come into contact with the plant called Oleander. It is one of the most dangerous ornamental plants in our country and is extremely toxic. In the past, deaths of adults who consumed one or a few leaves have already been reported.
Poisoning causes cardiac arrhythmia, dizziness and tremors. The plant is also a major threat to children, who are more susceptible. If there is even one child in your household, the best choice is not to grow it at all.
Dogs and cats are also at risk; after ingesting oleander they suffer from vomiting, cold extremities and arrhythmia. Even consuming honey made from its nectar immediately causes symptoms of poisoning after ingesting a small amount.
