Cucumbers are a very popular crop that we grow in our gardens. Unfortunately, they are also a crop very susceptible especially to fungal diseases. One solution is to grow them vertically, which allows better air circulation and also makes harvesting easier. However, this requires installing structures and it doesn’t save much space – there must be gaps between the individual rows so that air can flow freely.

Fytosporin on cucumbers

Fytosporin is a substance that most of us associate with tomatoes. These are, however, very similar plants that are prone to the same kinds of diseases. That means we could successfully use it on cucumbers as well. It is a very effective agent that can also boast of not burdening the environment – it is ecological. It contains no harmful substances and you can use it on the plant at any stage of growth. It works as an excellent preventive.

Repeat the treatment

The fact that it is possible to apply this substance at different growth stages is justified. The treatment must be performed repeatedly in order to be effective. Fytosporin is available in three forms: in liquid form, as a powder or as a paste. It is up to each person which will suit them better. Once you choose the appropriate form, all you need to do is mix it with two glasses of warm water. You will obtain a concentrated liquid that could last you until the end of the season (depending on how many plants you have). Store it in the refrigerator. Label and mark the bottle so that it is not mistaken for a beverage.

Use on plants

Before you use this concentrate on cucumbers, you must dilute it. Take 2 teaspoons of Fytosporin and mix it with 10 liters of water. Then wait for an hour. This is the required time to activate all the important nutrients. The mixture prepared like this can also be used as a root watering for the plants. Thanks to this you will have lovely green plants until autumn.
