Even if you love your dogs more than anything in the world, you surely set boundaries. In most cases these include a ban on sleeping or lying on the bed (although they often break it when you’re not at home). There are many reasons why owners don’t want their dog on the bed, but we have 7 reasons why it’s worth sharing a bit of your duvet.
1. Closeness
Having a bad day? Lie down in bed together with your dog!
Nothing improves your mood like the pleasant warmth and the calm breathing of a dog falling asleep.
2. No worries
Scientifically proven – the presence of a dog reduces stress, increases the feeling of safety, and guarantees inner calm.
3. Therapist
Dogs are great therapists and are often recommended as companions for people who suffer from various emotional problems or neuroses.
The more often we snuggle up to our pets, the more we feel their positive energy and the healthier we are
4. “Portion” of extra warmth
Especially during autumn and winter we appreciate the warmth that the coats of our four-legged friends give us. Dogs are like living stoves! You’ll feel pleasantly warm right away 🙂
5. A feeling of unconditional love
Again, referring to psychology – sleeping with your dog in the same bed is recommended for people who suffer from depression.
When something isn’t right in our life, just the presence of a dog helps us a lot.
6. Safety
Did you know that burglars usually avoid houses that have a dog? A dog’s barking really deters a thief and thus we can feel completely safe.
7. Happiness
When we occasionally allow our dog to peacefully sleep in our bed, not only will we be happy, but our pet will too.
Dogs miss us during the day because they love us unconditionally. It’s good to repay them in the way they love most of all 🙂
