Almost everyone has sugar at home; you wouldn’t believe how useful and helpful it can be to you even outside the kitchen.

Will get rid of ants

Just a few tablespoons of sugar, honey and water are enough. Heat this mixture in a pan until the sugar dissolves. Then dip strips of baking paper into it and hang them where needed. You can also pour the sugar mixture into containers and place them near your seating area. In a few minutes you’ll have an effective insect trap.

Guide to getting rid of ants in 1 night

If you mix sugar with borax, you’ll get a much stronger weapon against ants. Not only will the ants in the apartment disappear, but the workers will carry this mixture into the nest and you’ll eliminate the problem entirely.

We need:

  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Borax

Procedure:

Mix all the ingredients and then soak cotton swabs in the mixture. Place the swabs near ant trails or in places where you’ve seen them in the home. In the morning you’ll see dead ants around the trap. This trap really works great!

A miracle for orchids

What is sugar good for?

  • wilted plants,
  • plants you accidentally damaged while handling,
  • plants that haven’t bloomed for a long time,
  • older plants that lack energy.

How to do it?

Dissolve 1 teaspoon of sugar in a liter of water and immerse the orchid in this bath, letting it soak for about 8–9 hours (it’s said it can be left for the whole day). Then soak it for another hour in standing water. That’s all; when I took it out of the water and placed it back in its usual spot I immediately noticed the leaves were fuller and the flowers had perked up. The next day it already looked much better and gradually fully recovered — for my sister a miracle, for me simply sugar.

Helps with parasites and provides extra nutrition

Are your flowers wilting and you don’t know what to do? Look more closely at their roots; nematodes may be attacking them. Try adding sugar to the soil, which will support the activity of beneficial bacteria and microorganisms. They will create a maximally hostile environment for further nematodes. Sugar is suitable to add occasionally with vinegar to the water when you normally water. Approximately two tablespoons of sugar and two tablespoons of vinegar per half liter of water will give your flowers extra nutrition. And to keep them beautiful not only in the garden but also in a vase, add sugar with vinegar to the vase water for longer freshness.

For healing wounds

This is exactly how we can name the granulated sugar we have on the table. If you get a small cut, it is said to rinse it, sprinkle a little sugar on it and cover it with a plaster. Sugar speeds up healing and should reduce pain. It is also a lifesaver for those “hungry” people who can’t wait and taste hot food too soon. First aid for a burned tongue can be a teaspoon of sugar dissolved in the mouth.

Helps with grass stains

Sugar also handles stains very well. It removes, for example, grass stains without tiring scrubbing. If your child came back with green knees, don’t get upset and turn to sugar for help. How? Mix half a cup of granulated sugar with enough water to make a thick paste. Then apply the thick paste directly to the stain. Leave it to act for one to two hours, and then wash the garment as usual. The unwanted stains should be gone!

Scrub

Worked in the workshop or in the garden and need to wash your hands properly? No brush at hand? Reach for a little sugar. Lather your hands with sugar and enjoy a little natural scrub.

Get rid of flies

Are flies and little gnats making life annoying at home? Make a natural fly trap. Mix two parts sugar with one part water. Boil the syrup, let it cool, and finally pour it into a ceramic dish and place it, for example, on a windowsill. You’ll be surprised how well this syrup works. Flies and gnats should get caught in the trap and leave you alone.

Will get rid of cockroaches and bugs in the apartment

Prepare a tasty dinner for cockroaches, or rather their last meal. Mix equal parts sugar and baking powder and sprinkle it in the areas where unwelcome visitors are most often found. Sugar will attract the bugs and the baking powder will do them in. Replace this mixture frequently.

Removes grease

Although hands can become sticky from sugar, it is a top choice for removing grease. Try washing dirty hands in sugar water and the unpleasant grease will come off more easily. Afterwards, however, don’t forget to rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Absorbs odors

Sugar is excellent at eliminating odors in containers where you store food, for example. Just pour sugar into them and let it sit. You don’t need to help it in any way, because sugar can miraculously absorb odors directly, even from aromatic foods and spices.
