Problems with the thyroid gland are currently fairly common. In fact, many people have some disorder of it and don’t even suspect it.

Sometimes there are those who have obvious symptoms, but they do not know how to correctly recognize them.

Your thyroid gland is mainly responsible for body metabolism and energy production.

Its health is extremely important for the whole body because thyroid hormones influence the production of a large number of other hormones.

Every single body cell contains receptors that respond to thyroid hormones. You probably now sense why its proper function is so important for the body.

To maintain a healthy thyroid you need healthy nutrition, exercise, enough rest, stress regulation and avoidance of halogen elements that mimic iodine (such as bromine, chlorine or fluorine)

If it does not function properly, you can aid its regeneration by the following 6 methods.

1. Consume seaweed

You should regularly consume seaweeds such as kelp, wakame, kombu or nori.

They contain important minerals and especially iodine, without which the thyroid cannot function properly.

2. Regularly eat bone broth

No other broth will help you strengthen the immune system and heal the gut lining for good nutrient absorption like bone broth does.

Eat one bowl of bone broth every day with a little sea salt. Ideally you can add the seaweeds mentioned in the previous point to it.

3. Coconut can work wonders

Most cooking oils disrupt the conversion of thyroid hormones T3 and T4. Not so with coconut oil. In addition, coconut oil prevents inflammations in the body that threaten the thyroid.

Coconut oil strengthens your immunity and that in turn takes care of thyroid health. Take at least 1 tablespoon of coconut oil daily.

4. Increase intake of vitamins A, D and K2

If you are deficient in any of the listed vitamins, your thyroid is likely suffering as well.

Therefore eat foods that are rich in these vitamins, or supplement them in the form of dietary supplements.

5. Avoid gluten-containing foods

Gluten leads to autoimmune diseases in a number of people. Studies have shown that it is responsible for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, which is a thyroid disease caused by the body’s autoimmune reaction.

Avoid peanuts and peanut butter as well, because peanuts contain substances called goitrogens that disrupt the proper function of the thyroid.

6. Try yoga

Meditation and yoga are natural ways to strengthen your body and are especially beneficial for the thyroid. This is especially true in cases where your thyroid is affected by stress or some trauma.
