We need:
- 1 cup of warm water
- ½ cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons Borax
Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients and then soak cotton pads in the mixture.
- Place the pads close to the ants’ trails or in places where you have seen them in the house.
- In the morning you will see dead ants around the trap. This trap really works great!
How to get rid of ants in the garden
We need:
- a plastic container
- 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar
- hot water
- 1 teaspoon of boric acid (you can use Borax)
Instructions:
- Mix the powdered sugar with borax and pour in water – boiling or hot.
- Stir until you obtain a thicker consistency – about like gelatin.
- Set out the bait in the morning or during the day, but not at night, because then the ants return to the ant nest.
- Divide the bait into small portions (about 1 teaspoon into a jar lid) and place near the plants.
- The sugar will attract the ants and they will carry their catch back to the nest. That’s the key to success. The entire ant nest will disappear from the garden.
