Cancer – a word that none of us wants to hear. As late as the last century it was almost a death sentence; today medicine can cope, but even so this disease is very dangerous and life-threatening. Among women cervical cancer and breast cancer are widespread, but there is another type that is not often talked about, yet it is common as well. If you are suffering long-term from any of the symptoms listed below, visit your doctor and discuss the whole situation with him. You can prevent many unpleasant problems.
What are the symptoms:
1. Persistent abdominal bloating
Approximately one week before menstruation and one week after it most women suffer from bloating. However, if the bloating persists long-term, do not underestimate it, and visit your doctor. It may be a symptom of ovarian cancer.
2. Pelvic pain
If you have been experiencing pelvic pain for a longer period, it may be a symptom of ovarian cancer. Therefore visit a specialist and discuss the whole situation with them. This will rule out suspicion. It may also be a cyst on the ovary, or your menstrual cycle.
3. Pain radiating elsewhere
As a result, ovarian cancer can radiate pain to other parts of the body, e.g. to the back. Therefore do not underestimate long-lasting back pain, especially when it is accompanied by other pain in the abdominal area. In a study conducted on 151 women, 68 % of them stated that severe pain prevented them from performing work.
4. Unusual weight gain
If you begin to gain weight quickly and disproportionately, especially around the waist, while eating the same as before and not suffering from any hormonal condition, it may be a sign of ovarian cancer. This phenomenon is generally more common in premenopausal women.
5. Abnormal fatigue
If you rest properly, sleep as long as you are used to, and yet you are tired every day, consult this condition with your doctor. It will definitely be worth it.
