Cauliflower is a vegetable that isn’t very popular among men. It’s a healthy food that can be prepared in many ways. You can make a creamy soup from it, mozeček (brain stew) or bread it like a classic schnitzel. Today’s recipe will be a bit different and even cauliflower critics will surely enjoy it!

You may never have cooked anything simpler

If you don’t know what to prepare for lunch, this recipe is very easy and even children can manage it. You’ll need only a whole cauliflower, ground meat, bacon, pepper, salt and other seasonings to taste. Then simply boil the cauliflower in salted water until half‑soft, then line a baking tray with parchment paper. Prepare the ground meat, add the spices, wrap it around the whole cauliflower and then place it on the tray and wrap the whole thing in bacon.

Then just put it in the oven and let it bake for a while so the cauliflower becomes tender. You’ll recognize it by the crispy bacon. As a side you can cook plain potatoes with butter or you can try other combinations. Cauliflower wrapped in meat and bacon will be a hit with the whole family.

You should definitely include cauliflower in your diet

Cauliflower is among healthy foods; it contains antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and is suitable for a slimming diet because it’s full of fiber and carotenoids. Cook cauliflower at least once a week or even eat it raw. It reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease.

If you’re planning to adopt a healthy lifestyle, cauliflower will be a good choice. Because cauliflower is rich in antioxidants, it’s suitable for weight reduction. It is also full of vitamin C, even if it doesn’t look like it. Besides its florets you can also use the leaves, although that is not seen very often. If you’re troubled by the flu or a cold, try cauliflower and prepare it in a healthy way, for example for lunch.

You can add it to salads, and it’s also suitable for baking. The most popular variant, however, is the breaded fried cauliflower we mentioned at the beginning. Although this is the least healthy option, because it’s eaten with tartar sauce and potatoes, children love cauliflower that way too.
