Perhaps the most well-known sign of pregnancy is a missed period in a woman. Then women begin to wonder whether they might be pregnant. Whether you want to be pregnant or not, you don’t always have to rush to the pharmacy for a pregnancy test. Pregnancy manifests through many changes in a woman’s body. So just carefully watch the following symptoms to determine whether you are pregnant or not.
Most common signs of pregnancy
The most common signs of pregnancy include the following:
- missed period,
- nausea,
- increased fatigue.
Other symptoms can also occur. We will describe them below.
Headache
Headaches occur due to changes in blood pressure. This symptom appears a little earlier than nausea, which can be observed about 3 weeks after conception (it is caused by increased levels of progesterone and estrogen). Mild bleeding may appear during the first 6 to 12 days.
Cramps
These are cramps that a newly pregnant woman may feel in the lower abdomen. They are not cramps that can be compared to menstrual cramps. Cramps often occur together with nausea and with the associated decreased appetite.
Frequent urination
The uterus prepares to enlarge and the fetus slowly grows. This can cause women to feel the need to urinate more often because the uterus presses on the bladder.
Strange smells
This is also one of the most common symptoms. Žena may become sensitive to smells and odors. Even to those she previously liked.
Mood changes
During pregnancy many hormones are released. These hormones can cause mood changes – v one moment a woman may be laughing uncontrollably and suddenly she may start to cry.
Constipation
Due to increased progesterone, digestive processes slow down. For constipation, a sufficient fluid intake, movement, and foods rich in fiber help.
Breast enlargement
With the activation of hormones, breasts may grow, become sore, and be more sensitive. The whole body is preparing for breastfeeding.
