Ingredients needed

  • All-purpose flour 250 grams
  • Baking powder 1 sachet
  • Cocoa 15 grams
  • Granulated sugar 140 grams
  • Vanilla sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Milk 150 milliliters
  • Vegetable oil 150 milliliters
  • Eggs 3 pieces

Curd filling

  • Butter 50 grams
  • Full-fat curd 500 grams
  • Sugar 100 grams
  • Eggs 2 pieces
  • Vanilla pudding mix 1 packet
  • Milk 20 milliliters

Preparation

The process is quick and simple. It takes you just under one hour and you can enjoy a delicious and moist cake. Take a baking sheet approximately 30 x 40 centimeters and grease it. Then dust it with coarse flour or breadcrumbs or coconut. Now take a bowl and put in the vanilla sugar, granulated sugar and three egg yolks. Mix everything into a smooth and thick foam. Next, in another bowl, whip the egg whites from three eggs into stiff peaks.

Preparing the flour

Weigh the flour and sift it through a fine sieve. Add the baking powder, a pinch of salt and stir. Then add the cocoa and mix again. Add the egg yolk mixture to the flour and stir. There should be no lumps in the batter, as they would not be good in the baked cake. Once you have a smooth batter, fold in the stiff egg whites. Do not mix them too much; simply fold the batter with the whites, do not stir. Pour the batter into the prepared baking sheet and prepare the filling.

Preparing the curd filling

Place the softened butter at room temperature into a mixing bowl and beat it into a firm paste. Then add the milk in which you have dissolved the vanilla pudding, pour it into the butter and add the curd, sugar and eggs. Blend everything until a smooth mixture forms. Spread the resulting filling over the cake and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approximately 35 minutes.
