Each of us wonders when and how we will get back to normal tracks, in which we were operating before the coronavirus. The biggest intrusions into freedom came in the form of restrictions on movement and travel became a major taboo.
Many of us had planned a family holiday in one of the seaside countries for the summer months. However, the situation has become complicated, so it is not certain whether our holidays will take place and whether travel will be the same as before. The fundamental restrictions on travel around the world pose unanswered questions to the world.
When will we be able to travel abroad?
Some countries are already today considering the introduction of so-called “immunity cards”, which would serve as a ticket into a given country or as a pass out of quarantine. This is reported by Business Insider.
Business Insider reports on the German “certificate of immunity”, with which people could travel before this pandemic passes. How would it work in practice?
The basis is carrying out a rapid test that would show positive results for antibodies. With these results people could leave quarantine earlier than others. The results would actually prove the creation of immunity to the given virus.
Through mass positive tests countries could relax the strict measures they have gradually introduced. With similar tests it would be possible to travel the world earlier than many governments expect.
The tests could be available on the shelves of most pharmacies and also on Amazon. The United Kingdom wants to start with the tests. Boris Johnson has already ordered several million. Similar tests have already been on the market several times, but had to be returned to China due to incorrect testing capabilities.
When will we return to normal life?
Besides the United Kingdom, the USA also want to start with the tests, where the federal government is preparing to distribute certificates en masse to recovered people. Leading American infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci claims that a recovered person can be infected again.
Nevertheless the federal government is preparing to distribute a large number of antibody tests, which are currently being reviewed by the Food and Drug Administration.
Despite several limitations and experts’ doubts, the results of the revised tests may in a few weeks serve as a pass to other countries.
