Homemade fabric softener and washing machine cleaner
This homemade softener is a kind of replacement for the classic fabric softener you buy in stores. The advantage of this homemade softener is that it also cleans your washing machine at the same time, thereby extending its lifespan.
Moreover, this preparation is completely bio and therefore does not cause any skin irritation or allergic reactions like similar chemical products that we can buy in stores.

What will you need?
- 150 – 200 ml hot water
- 20 drops of essential oil – choose your favorite scent
- Plastic container for the preparation
- 10g baking soda
- 800 ml – apple cider vinegar
How to do it?
Prepare a plastic container and pour hot water into it.
Then add the baking soda to the water and pour in the apple cider vinegar.
Stir the mixture and wait until it stops forming bubbles.
Once the bubbles subside, add the essential oil to the mixture, close the container and mix.
Usage
You can use this preparation in the same way as a classic fabric softener.
The preparation softens the water and thus softens the laundry and cleans the washing machine.
You will notice the most pronounced change on towels right after the first wash.
