Cancer is considered the most dangerous disease of middle-aged women. However, there are several other illnesses that are even far more dangerous. These include, for example, chronic liver disease. The liver is an organ that binds toxins that enter the body. It is a very sensitive organ and its condition is worsened primarily by obesity, alcohol and smoking. Detoxification cures are undertaken as a prevention.
Respiratory tract diseases
Chronic diseases of the lower respiratory tract can be considered all illnesses associated with a deteriorated condition of the lungs. Smoking worsens the condition. In most cases it is not a serious disease, but in people with weakened immunity it can lead to serious problems. These include inflammations of the airways, bronchitis or inflammation of the larynx and trachea.
In middle age the development of diabetes also most often occurs. Diabetes causes kidney problems, leads to incontinence, fatigue and thirst. The basis in the case of this disease is prevention. The cause of diabetes is insulin resistance, that is a state in which the body has reduced sensitivity to the effect of insulin.
Diabetes
Diabetes is often associated with obesity, since up to 90 % of patients suffer from it. A healthy lifestyle is the most effective prevention – consumption of quality foods, including a sufficient amount of vegetables in the diet, limiting intake of refined sugar and adequate physical activity. Loss of body weight leads to increased tissue sensitivity to the effect of insulin.
Although influenza is considered trivial, if untreated it can lead to pneumonia and subsequently to death. Pneumonia is caused by streptococci, Haemophilus bacteria or staphylococci, but in some cases it can also be caused by intracellular bacteria, namely chlamydiae, mycoplasmas or rickettsiae. In even rarer cases it can be caused by viruses, for example the influenza virus or herpes viruses. Pneumonia presents with a cough, an increased body temperature, pressure or pain in the chest and breathing difficulties.
