Potatoes are one of the most common side dishes. You don’t have to prepare them the same way every time. Experiment, try new methods and you’ll see that potatoes have many flavors. For our recipe you will also only need a bag. Thanks to it you will prepare potatoes in a completely new way, quickly and furthermore tastily.

What you will need

There are only a few ingredients. The recipe is inexpensive and even a complete beginner can manage it.

  • Potatoes – 1 kg
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Simple and quick preparation

It is important to choose the right potatoes already at the store, the market or even in the garden. Peel early potatoes carefully for this recipe; however, if you have a late variety, leave the skins on so they don’t fall apart. Cut large potatoes into quarters, small ones can be left as they are. So, if you want to save as much work as possible, small pieces of late varieties will be useful.

Next, peel the garlic and grate it on a fine grater or crush it using a press. Put all the ingredients into a larger bowl and mix well. Take care that the salt is not only on some of the potatoes.

Filling the bag

Carefully pour the entire mixture into a larger bag. Prepare a baking sheet and preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees. Once it’s ready, place the sheet with the carefully sealed bag filled with potatoes into it.

Monitor the baking from the top. As soon as you notice that the top part of the potatoes is golden and roasted, the dish is ready and you can finish the baking.

How you can improve the recipe

If you are a fan of aromatic and stronger spices, add paprika, chili, colored pepper, or for example curry to the bag before baking. You can also slice the potatoes thinly for a better taste. They will then be slightly crispy and fragrant.

Finally, serve with roasted meat, grilled vegetables or simply on their own. Don’t forget to add a tasty dressing, such as tzatziki, mustard, barbecue sauce or other types of dressings.
