This home recipe was used not only for migraines but for headaches in general, for a long time. It used to be believed that salt was a cure for all illnesses and ailments, you just needed to know in what form to give it to the patient. The saline solution that works on headaches is very simple. Today we can choose from different salts; our ancestors did not have such luxuries.

You will need:

  • ½ lemon
  • ½ teaspoon of salt

Squeeze the lemon into a glass and add the salt. Fill the glass with water and stir well until everything dissolves. Pinch your nose and drink the solution. In a few minutes the migraine is gone. Guaranteed!

Apple cider vinegar

A huge weapon in treating migraines is ordinary apple cider vinegar. Besides migraines, it will also regulate your blood sugar level or lower high blood pressure.

You will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • a glass of warm water

Pour warm (not boiled) water into a glass, add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of honey and stir well. Drink it at once and wait a few minutes. The migraine will start to gradually subside. If you can tolerate it, you can add another tablespoon or two of apple cider vinegar.

Peppermint

You will need:

  • 1 handful of fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup of water

To prepare a mint decoction, simply pour boiling water over the fresh leaves, add honey, and drink. If you want something stronger, it’s good to add a few drops of peppermint or lavender oil to a strong mint infusion and, before the infusion is ready to drink, inhale the aroma of the essential oils from the fragrant herbs. When inhaling, it is recommended to rest with your head under a towel over a cup of fragrant infusion for at least 20-30 minutes.

Chamomile infusion

Chamomile has strong anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects. Therefore it is often used to treat stomach problems and few people appreciate its properties for treating a painful head. The migraine will subside if you brew a very strong and concentrated chamomile infusion and drink it while it’s still warm. You may feel that you will never drink such bitterness, but you need to force yourself. The migraine will pass immediately.

You will need:

  • 2-3 heaped teaspoons of dried chamomile
  • 1 cup of water

Pour boiling water over the dried herb and let it steep for 5 minutes. Then drink it.
