If you are fans of interesting places and like to discover stories from the past, you can look at photographs of a house from Canada that has been closed since the 1950s. It slowly and surely fell into disrepair, but many things were preserved inside.
People began to get curious
In the same town lived a man who was curious about what secrets the house hid. He discovered that time inside seemed to have stopped and therefore took interesting photographs of the interior. He wanted to share with the rest of the world what he had found in the house. The belongings of the family that once lived here remained, and it looked as if they had left their home only yesterday.
Medicine cabinet
Every household has its smaller or larger box where it stores medicines and small items. Such a box was also found in the house by the curious man and from it he could determine who exactly lived in the house. He was surprised by how many products he no longer recognized from their time. Some brands from the 1950s fell into oblivion, but in this house they still had their place.
Most likely a man lived in this house, since the visitor found all the necessary shaving items in the medicine cabinet. He also lived here with his wife, as the second find was a luxury box containing several perfumes. It seems the family liked to take good care of themselves.
Library
The library also reveals much about its owners. The couple probably loved to read, as the library overflowed with titles. On the table in the library were many letters, written papers and other documents. They probably liked to work here.
Bedroom
The bedroom might have been expected to be cozier for a young man. Instead it was covered with dark wallpaper; here too lay many books and various pictures. We can therefore assume that it was two intellectuals who surrounded themselves in the house with works of art, valuable books and liked to immerse themselves in information.
When they decided to go out, they were probably both well groomed and fragrant. The man who visited the house claims that time stopped in the house. Everything remained in its place as in the 1950s. That can be a little scary, but according to him it is amazing to discover old places, to reflect on what stories these people had and to look into their private world.
