Ingredients:
- 3-liter jar or jug
- A lid with holes or cheesecloth for covering
- 700 g of beetroot
- 2 tablespoons of flour or 2 pieces of stale rye bread
- 200 g of sugar (white or brown, not honey)
- 100 g of raisins
Method:
1.Wash the beetroot thoroughly and cut it into cubes or slices.
2.Place it into the prepared jar.
3.Add the sugar, raisins and pieces of bread (or flour).
4.Fill the jar with water and mix everything well.
5.Cover the jar with a lid with holes or cheesecloth and leave it in a warm place to start fermenting.
After a few days (about 5–7 days) the kvass will be ready and prepared for drinking. You can enjoy this beverage every day to support detoxification and improve your body’s health.
