Ileana Paules-Bronetová decided on an experiment – she decided to give up all other drinks and drink only water for seven days to see if she would feel better. Ileana bought a one-liter bottle. The amount of water consumed can be easily controlled. She wanted to drink 2 liters a day. Drinking only water at first seemed like a demanding task. It was frightening: “I’ve never had so much liquid in my body. In high school my dad was always mad at me for leaving drinks in the fridge and never being able to finish them!”

The beginnings were hard

The first morning was rushed, so Ileana started drinking water only after 11 o’clock. As soon as she lifted the bottle, she saw a girl with an iced coffee and immediately envied her. She suspected it would be a long week. The second day was hard; she drank little during the day but made up for it when she went to the gym in the evening. The next day she couldn’t work, so she stayed at home. The house is full of temptations like iced tea and coffee. It wasn’t easy, but she overcame her weaknesses. The fourth day was very easy. Ileana got used to it and 2 liters of water became the norm. On the fifth day she said she didn’t get a headache even once during the whole process, which was a first-rate success because she used to suffer from headaches.

She won’t consume sugary drinks anymore

She lost interest in sugary drinks. In the evening she finished the second bottle. She easily drank the water and refilled the bottle a third time. She was used to having it with her constantly. On the seventh day she made a dentist appointment. She knew she wouldn’t be able to drink for a long time afterward, so she tried to drink as much as she could. In the afternoon she went for a walk without refilling the bottle. What are the results of the experiment? After a week of giving up caffeine, Ileana felt naturally energetic. Her bowels worked much more regularly and she had a bigger appetite. She felt light and refreshed.
