To prepare the cake you will need:

  • Eggs 2 pieces
  • Milk 100 ml
  • Fresh yeast 15 grams or dry yeast 5 grams
  • Sugar one tablespoon
  • Butter 50 grams
  • Plain flour 250 grams
  • Salt a pinch

Glaze

  • Sugar 100 grams
  • Butter 75 grams
  • Vanilla sugar 10 grams

After glazing you will need 100 – 200 milliliters of cream.

Preparing the delicious cake

First, we’d like to point out that you should take all the ingredients out of the refrigerator at least half an hour before preparing the cake. Ingredients must be at room temperature. First, pour a tablespoon of sugar into a bowl and crumble the yeast into it. Using a fork, mash the yeast to make a paste and add a small amount of flour. Pour in lukewarm milk and let the starter rise, about ten to fifteen minutes. Meanwhile, sift the flour, add the sugars, the melted butter – not boiling – and the beaten egg. After the starter has risen, pour it into the flour and other ingredients.

Stir the dough with a wooden spoon for at least 20 minutes. If you have a home bread maker, put the dough into it for mixing and proofing. If you don’t have a bread maker, let the dough rise for 40-60 minutes in a warm place. Meanwhile, prepare a pan by greasing it with butter and dusting it with flour or breadcrumbs. The pan should have a diameter of 21 centimeters. After rising, turn the dough out into the pan and wait another half hour. After half an hour, preferably grease your finger with oil and make dimples in the cake. Once the dimples are made, mix the sugar with the melted butter and the vanilla sugar – dissolve and pour over the cake. Bake at 180 °C for approximately half an hour. After the time has passed, take it out of the oven and pour over the cream. Put it back in the oven for another five to ten minutes.
