There are women who are constantly searching for the fountain of youth and various methods that will make them look good for many years. Some recipes for youth are simple, but all the more interesting.  This woman decided that she would not smile so that wrinkles would not form on her face.

What are women willing to sacrifice for beauty?

Without a smile

Tess Christian is 50 years old today. Already at the age of 10 she firmly decided that she would never smile. Tess will reveal why she made that decision so young.

“I got used to living without a smile. Even when my daughter was born I was bursting with enormous joy, but I didn’t feel the need to smile” Tess said.

“It helped me a lot in the fight against wrinkles. I know it sounds strange, but the results came. My recipe for youth is much better than chemical botox and at the same time much more effective than all creams intended for facial nourishment.

Many people have told me during my life that I look as if I had no joy in life, but that is not really the case. I love life, but I don’t feel the need to smile at people on the street. Some of my friends tell me that I’m the Mona Lisa, who also does not smile. She only has slightly raised corners.”

Cholesterol and sugar: what really raises LDL and how to protect the liver

Eggs, liver and bacon are often labeled as the main culprits of high cholesterol. The reality is more complex. For most people, dietary cholesterol has only a limited effect on blood cholesterol levels. Much more important is the overall diet, the proportion of saturated and trans fatty acids, intake of added sugars, body weight, genetics and lifestyle. Below you will find a balanced overview of what the facts say – without myths and shortcuts.

What cholesterol is and why the body needs it

Cholesterol is a fatty substance essential for building cell membranes, producing hormones and vitamin D. In the blood it is carried in the form of lipoproteins. LDL ("bad") carries cholesterol to tissues, HDL ("good") takes it back to the liver. The goal is to keep LDL low and HDL in an appropriate range.

Dietary cholesterol vs. saturated fats and trans fats

In most healthy people, dietary cholesterol (e.g., from eggs) has only a small effect on LDL. A much stronger factor is saturated fats (fatty processed meats, high-fat cheeses, large amounts of butter) and trans fats (industrially hydrogenated fats), which raise LDL and can lower HDL. Eggs are also a source of nutrients (e.g., choline), so for most people they can be part of a balanced diet.
