In summer we are often bothered on our gardens and terraces by annoying insects that are hard to get rid of. They are attracted by fragrant food, sweet drinks and, not least, light that shines for miles at night. In the article you will find tips for traps into which insects easily get caught but then cannot get out, and so we will have peace for the whole evening.
Only a few ingredients are enough and you’re rid of the problem
For wasps you need a little beer, vinegar and also four teaspoons of sugar. Pour beer into a tall glass or another container, add sugar and vinegar and place on the terrace or garden, far from the table where you are sitting. Vinegar will attract bees and wasps, which get into the container and then drown. You might be surprised how many such insects appear there during a single evening.
It is a simple trap of which you can devise several. It will be useful for those who are allergic to wasp stings, and it will work everywhere. You can thus calmly enjoy an evening barbecue with friends without insects bothering you. Sometimes it is enough to leave just an empty beer bottle with a little at the bottom; wasps easily get into the neck but cannot get back out.
Instead of beer and vinegar you can use jam
Another trap can be made from a plastic bottle. Just cut off the bottle neck at about one third, and then turn the neck downwards. You can smear it with jam, because bees and wasps love sweets. To it you can add a solution made from sugar, water and a few drops of dish soap. The detergent will ensure the wasps will slip and escape will be even more difficult for them.
Insects can bother you not only outside in the garden, but also at home. There may appear ants or pantry moths. Here too you can help yourself with home remedies like vinegar, baking soda or lemon juice. Always watch where the insects occur and use the ingredients to make their stay unpleasant. Eventually you will achieve that they move away from you and visit someone else.
