Do you also feel that this year the mosquitoes are unbearable? It’s no merrier with ticks, you no longer have to fear them only in the woods, you can just as well pick them up at home in your garden. Fortunately I already know how to deal with summer pests. I have tested this homemade repellent and our whole family uses it. I thought it would only chase away mosquitoes, but it also works on ticks, annoying flies and is excellent for pets. If you don’t want to spray chemicals on yourself for months, try it and you’ll see that it helps you. It’s quite harmless to health.

I also tried the granny classic – cloves in alpe, but this combination works much better for me.
We need:
- 1 lemon
- 1 bunch of lavender
- 1 tablespoon of cloves
- 3 whole star anise
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of Alpa
- 300 ml of water
Procedure:
Put the lemon slices, star anise and cloves into the water and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat, add the flower heads from 8 lavender stems
At the end add Alpa, the oil and optionally you can add a few drops of lemon essential oil. Let it cool completely, strain and use as a regular repellent (in a spray bottle). I tend to put a few sprigs of lavender into the bottle, but it’s not necessary.
