There are many riddles on the internet that try to test your basic math skills. But now one has appeared that is puzzling everyone in the world!
So what do you think the result is?
Here is the pictured statement of our brainteaser:
.
.
.
Still haven’t worked it out?
So we’ll help you: The mathematical figure is composed of three parts – a hexagon, a pentagon and a quadrilateral. Each contributes a certain number of vertices (we can also call them points). Therefore the whole shape has 15 points, since there are three of them.
Next we have to add bananas together with our mathematical figure and get the result 23. From the previous equation we know that this mathematical figure is 15, so 23 – 15 is 8. So we divide 8 equally among the bananas – four each (and in the picture we also see 4 bananas each, watch out for that!)
Then clocks were added, which show 3 o’clock, so 4 bananas plus 3 o’clock plus 3 o’clock are 10, right?
So what is our final result?
2 + 3 + 3*11 = 38!
Don’t believe it?
In the last equation the clock is 2, not 3! We also now have 3 bananas each, not four! In the mathematical figure we are missing a square and so we had to subtract 4 from 15, which together gave us 11! So, how many of you knew that without a hint?
