If you let hotel staff or, for example, airport parking services park your car, you trust them. And more than once that trust has been abused by porters or airport employees. Cars then returned with tens or even hundreds of extra kilometers. So that’s in the better cases. Sometimes the car returned damaged, sometimes even ready to be scrapped. In any case, you also trust the garages where you leave your car to be repaired.

Ford Mustang GT 2016

That was also realized by American Suhail Sood, who had the alignment of his Mustang GT adjusted by an authorized Jersey City service center in the town of Ford Steven. Before we go into detail about what happened to the Mustang, let’s introduce the basic specs of this handsome American from 2016:

Engine: five-liter petrol V8 with 435 horsepower
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h: 4.4 s
Top speed: electronically limited to 265 km / h
Combined consumption: 16.4 l / 100 km

What happens when you’re not watching

The owner of this Mustang left a camera in his car, which the service workers unfortunately did not notice. The car’s maintenance took an unexpectedly long time, so Sood decided to check the camera footage to see if there was a reason for the delay. And to the great surprise of the car owner, the camera actually recorded why the service took so long. But the cause was completely different than you would expect.

The mechanics went for a joyride with the Mustang. And not just any, it definitely wasn’t an ordinary test drive. So the test… The mechanics were driving through the city’s narrow streets at twice the allowed speed, and they drove at exactly fifty on a stretch with a 25 miles per hour limit. And that’s not all, the camera also recorded a speed of 75 miles per hour, even triple the speed limit. And given the mechanics’ behavior, it’s certain that it wasn’t an isolated drive.
