These days building a house is quite a tough nut to crack. Finding land and building a house is very expensive. That’s why we’ll show you how to figure it out and even save money. We’ll show you the dream home.

Own house

More and more people are embarking on creative ideas for how to build the perfect house. There are houses on wheels, houses made from wooden cabins or even containers. But this house is built from earth, clay and straw.

Clay house

Michael Buck had the idea to build a house of earth, straw and clay. He wanted to create everything with his own hands. He used his creativity, ingenuity and skill and a very old method of building a house. He built his house in England. At first glance it is a perfect fairytale cottage.

Michael has always preferred nature in his life. He decided the same for this house.

Interior

This house perfectly meets his expectations regarding ecological living. He is glad that his house does not bring any burden to the planet. He strives for maximum harmony with nature. The whole house is made from recyclable materials such as mud, clay, earth, wood, reed or stone.

Windows

Michael perfectly solved the question of windows as well. He used old car windows. The floors are from materials from a scrapyard. And the roof is covered with lots of reeds. The walls are made of earth, mud and straw, which also gave perfect insulation.

He did not use any electric tool or nail in the construction.

Bunk bed

Because the house is completely ecological, there is no electricity installed. Heating is provided by a fireplace. A pit replaces a refrigerator, where food is kept cool. He draws water for bathing from a nearby spring. He uses a dry toilet.

This house is one big room that serves as kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. The house has a built-in bunk bed that Michael made with his own hands.

Right now the house is rented to a woman who works at a nearby dairy, and she pays Michael rent in milk.

Conclusion

Michael claims that we are modern-day slaves burdened by mortgages and wants to show the world that it doesn’t have to be that way.
