Own house
Many people are increasingly trying creative ideas on how to build the perfect house. There are houses on wheels, houses made from wooden cabins and even containers. But this house is built from clay, loam and straw.
Clay house
Michael Buck had the idea to build a house from clay, straw and loam. He wanted to create everything with his own hands. He used his creativity, inventiveness and skill and a very old method of building a house. He built his house in England. At first glance it is a perfect fairytale cottage.
Michael has always preferred nature in his life. He made the same choice with this house.
Interior
This house perfectly fulfills his expectations regarding ecological living. He is glad that his house does not bring any burden to the planet. He strives for maximum harmony with nature. The whole house is made of recyclable materials such as mud, loam, clay, wood, reed or stone.
Windows
Michael also perfectly solved the issue of windows. He used old car windows. The floors are made from materials from a scrapyard. And the roof is covered with a large amount of reed. The walls are made of clay, mud and straw, which also provided perfect insulation.
He did not use any power tool or nail during the construction.
Bunk bed
Since the house is completely ecological, there is no electricity installed. Heating is provided by a fireplace. A pit where food is chilled replaces a refrigerator. He draws water for bathing from a nearby spring. He uses a dry toilet.
This house is one big room that serves as a kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. The house has a built-in bunk bed that Michael made with his own hands.
Right now the house is rented by a woman who works at a nearby dairy and pays Michael rent in milk.
Conclusion
Michael claims that we are modern-day slaves burdened by mortgages and he wants to show the world that it doesn’t have to be that way.
