Lékařka Soňa Peková (the one who is not allowed to test for coronavirus), našla řešení, otestovat celý národ! Deputy Health Minister Roman Prymula, the current head of the central crisis staff, is enthusiastic about the idea. But the Minister of Health must give his consent.
Statement from the deputy
It’s just one step and the crisis can begin to be resolved! Experts have come up with a solution for how to test all Czech citizens, including those with difficulties and in quarantine, for the coronavirus in just a few days.
Deputy Health Minister Roman Prymula is enthusiastic about the idea.
But the Ministry of Health must give its approval.
“It seems that the ice may have started to move. Last night a letter was sent to the Ministry of Health to the attention of Prof. Prymula; before that it was preliminarily discussed that large centers of the Academy of Sciences in Prague, Brno and České Budějovice would get involved in SARS-CoV-2 testing under the auspices of the Rector of Charles University and the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences,” said Soňa Peková.
We can still win the fight. The biologist is convinced that this will result in thousands of people being tested in a short time.
Quarantine will be eased and the Czech Republic will begin to recover! “It is work so-called from the bottom up. These workplaces, among them the Ústav molekulární genetiky AV ČR, including the workplace of Professor Holý, have enormous capacity and are at the highest professional level. It will only be necessary to collect samples and transport them to them.
How is the Czech Republic prepared for the coronavirus?
For example, the Ústav molekulární genetiky has three machines with 384 positions, so they test nearly 1,200 samples per day. It is a huge step. They have the capacity for mass testing of people. It cannot be compared at all to how hospitals are testing now, a few dozen per day,” says Peková, noting that hospitals are currently unable to keep up with and manage the tests.
They are only waiting to see whether Minister Adam Vojtěch will approve the proposal. We will know more on Tuesday evening.
