In the case of iron-clouded water, ascorbic acid acts as an express cleaner, producing a compound called ferrous L-ascorbate – you don’t have to worry about any side effects on health; unlike pool chemicals, this compound is not only colorless but also harmless to health.
Where to get L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in larger quantities?
It’s not complicated at all, for example Vitamin C powder (1 kg) is commonly available at pharmacies, or simply type it into Google and easily find the vitamin C in the amount you want. It can even be found in drugstores.
