A woman’s body, under the influence of hormones, begins to change after the fortieth year of life and slowly prepares for menopause. Although women enter the transition only around age fifty, the organism starts preparing for this period several years in advance. How can you help the body prepare?
Meal plan
You should include several types of foods in your diet that you should consume regularly. All of this can help you with premature aging, problems with gaining extra pounds, and also with the risk of developing insidious cancer.
It’s not restrictive
Nutrition experts agree that after forty women should eat fewer proteins, especially from meat. Meat is very rich in amino acids, it stimulates protein synthesis and slows the processes of removing old cells. If these processes are continuously activated in the body, they can promote the later development of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, infections, diabetes, atherosclerosis, and can also significantly reduce lifespan. But what to replace meat with?
Replace it with plant proteins
Although proteins are important for the human body, we don’t always have to get them only from meat. They can be replaced by plant-based foods, for example legumes. These have, among other things, long been considered a veritable storehouse of health and beauty for women in their prime. They contain many B and A vitamins, folic acid, calcium and iron. Besides that, they contain important phytoestrogens, which are particularly suitable when there is a lack of estrogen in a woman’s body. Estrogen naturally decreases with age; it affects reproductive functions, mood, as well as a woman’s appearance and weight.
The secret is in beans
Beans contain fiber that easily absorbs carcinogens and toxic substances and, in addition, contributes to proper digestion. Thanks to the consumption of legumes, even the beneficial microorganisms survive.
Preparing beans
You can prepare beans in a variety of ways; here we most often consume them in soup, but in other regions excellent thickened bean sauces or baked beans are often made. Before you put beans in your mouth, however, soak them well in lukewarm water, otherwise you are asking for some of the undesirable effects that can affect the body due to insufficient softening.
Beans can indeed be harmful, as many who ate them harder have already learned. An unsoaked bean will cause you bloating, flatulence, and it can even give you an unpleasant upset stomach. But that is only if you overdo it with them.
