Flour
Flour today is produced from wheat and is treated with insecticides, pesticides and fungicides. Up to 60 chemicals have been approved for the production of white flour.
White flour is a natural insecticide
Although it may be unbelievable, white flour really is a natural insecticide. That means that if insects get into a bag of white flour and start to eat it, they die. White flour kills any insect that attempts to consume it.
White flour has no nutrients
During the production process the wheat germ, which contains 75% of the vitamins and minerals, is removed. In addition, up to 97% of the fiber is lost. This process removes 70% of the iron, B vitamins and magnesium, 50 percent of the calcium and all of the vitamin E.
Added potassium bromide
After the nutrients are removed, the flour is bleached, preserved and strengthened with chlorine dioxide. Then bleaching is carried out using ammonium carbonate, alum and chalk. In the final phase sorbitan mono-ester is added, an anti-caking agent. Worst of all, potassium bromate is added to the flour, a strong oxidizing agent. This chemical is considered carcinogenic by the International Agency for Research on Cancer and has been banned in many countries.
White flour contains a contaminant that causes diabetes
Last but not least, white flour contains alloxan, a substance that is pure. It has been scientifically proven that it negatively affects the pancreas and destroys beta cells. Several studies have also shown that the effects of alloxan can be reduced by vitamin E, which protects laboratory rats from alloxan.
Contains L-cysteine
L-cysteine, which is an essential amino acid, is added to baked goods to speed up industrial processing. You will find it in most cookies, pasta,
in fast food, baked goods and pizza. Other sources of this amino acid include cow horns, petroleum by-products and chicken feathers. It is even worth mentioning that L-cysteine comes from China, a country with a poor history of food regulation.
